Web 2.0 off the HypeCycle?

In a recent article on fastcompany.com, Allyson Kapin asked 8 industry experts where they though we 2.0 will go in 2009. Some of the comments were fairly benign and predictable but others got me thinking about the soon to be capabilities in the cloud. You can find Allyson's article here.

Microsoft announced Azure, a new cloud platform at its 2008 developers conference. Azure has a multi-layered architecture that will allow developers to deliver applications directly to the cloud.
