Information Renaissance
Information is more than knowledge its power in this age and era.
There is a requirement for a new quality revolution, and the sooner we start it the more we benefit. Every one has experienced the product quality and the service quality revolutions. Both are still in the process and bringing us valuable lessons from which we learn from.
Now it is the time for information quality revolution. With all the hype about the shift to an information-based economy, it's surprising how little is said about the height of costs, defective or mishandled information. The issue of information quality is a sleeping giant, and its effects could dwarf those of product quality and service quality combined. Information quality is the other side of virtually almost every kind of quality issue you can ask for, and the reduction of information-related costs could present an enormous opportunity to increase return on investment to a lot of organizations.
Another critical aspect of information quality must be the reduction of information. One of the biggest problems of the information revolution will be how to get rid of all the important information and not how to create more of it.
