Newsletter Issue4: Federal Appeals Court Dismisses Florida Primary Lawsuit

Victor DiMiao, a Democratic Party activist from Tampa, Florida, filed a lawsuit in August 2007 accusing the Democratic National Committee over the party disenfranchising the Florida’s Democratic voters by barring them from having their say in choosing their party’s nominee. The party decided to punish the Florida Democrats for holding their presidential primary January 29, earlier than party allowed.

ITERA Conference – March 27-29, 2008: Louisville, Kentucky

The 2008 ITERA conference in Louisville, Kentucky went off without a hitch. Taking place over three days, the conference provided lots of innovative thoughts for the attendees to take home. On March 26, Dr. Steele (Chairman of ITERA) and I put the finishing touches on a few documents, loaded up the Jaguar, and settled in for a three-hour drive. When we arrived Louisville (Home of the “Slugger” and Kentucky bourbon), we found everything was maddeningly well organized: the hotel rooms, presentation halls, equipment, EVERYTHING.
